According to SPIEGEL ONLINE information, Dortmund has inquired for the the terms of a Sahin transfer in the winter break.
Negotiations did not happen. Real Madrid vetoed. The Spanish record champion objected to a change in the winter.
For Sahin it was a disaster.

Sale in the summer excluded
A transfer in summer seems illusory. From Madrid is heard, a Sahin-sale in summer is also excluded.
For Mourinho the failure of the Turk would be a personal problem. The Portuguese observed Sahin during most of last season and even brought him to Madrid in the end, even against some internal resistance, especially from the now sacked sports director Jorge Valdano.
A few days ago it has come to a meeting between Mourinho and Sahin. There the Portuguese has made his professional player clear, that he has not abandoned him. To give his words emphasis, according to SPIEGEL ONLINE information, Mourinho called the former player of Borussia Dortmund to the 18-man squad for the Champions League match in the evening against CSKA Moscow.
Sahin himself has been silent for months, he merely said in late September that it was "not an easy time" for him.
Even after repeated request by SPIEGEL ONLINE, he would not comment on his situation.
